Nashville Municipal Auditorium A-Z Guide
ACCESSIBILITY & ACCOMODATIONS
Accessible seating options are offered at all events hosted in the Nashville Municipal Auditorium. Locations vary by event.
Sign Interpreters are available upon request. Interpreters must be requested two weeks prior to the event by calling (615) 862-6390. This accommodation will be free of charge for guests.
ACCEPTABLE METHODS OF PAYMENT
Nashville Municipal Auditorium is a cashless venue. Mobile payment and most major credit cards; Visa, MasterCard, and Discover are accepted.
American Express is not an accepted method of payment.
ANIMALS
Animals are not allowed in the Nashville Municipal Auditorium; however, an exception is made for leashed, harnessed and housebroken service animals.
Please be advised Municipal Auditorium reserves the right to exclude service animals which act in “out of control” manners. If the service animal does not fit under your seat you will need to purchase a ticket for the animal. Service animals and all affixed equipment are subject to search upon entry.
If a patron plans on bringing a service animal into the venue, we encourage them to contact us as early as possible for potential seating relocation purposes.
BAG POLICY
For enhanced safety and speed of entry, we strongly discourage guests from bringing bags to events. All fans are urged to arrive early and travel light.
If a bag is necessary, the following restrictions and processes apply:
- Clear Bags that measure no larger than 12” x 6” x 12” are allowed. Small purses, fanny packs or clutches should not exceed the size of 4.5” x 6.5”. Bags of either kind larger than the provided dimensions will not be permitted in the venue unless previously approved.
- Clear Bags that measure larger than 12”x12”x6” are prohibited and are NOT allowed into the Auditorium.
- Bags that measure smaller than 4.5” x 6.5” may proceed through security lanes for visual inspection. Bags that exceed the size of 4.5” x 6.5” must be clear.
- Backpacks of any size are considered prohibited items and are NOT allowed into the Auditorium.
Reminder: Patrons with prohibited items will not be permitted entry to the Auditorium. Nashville Municipal Auditorium does not provide on-site storage. Guests are asked to plan accordingly and allow for extra time when arriving at the Auditorium.
Exceptions to this bag policy may be made for extenuating circumstances such as medical needs and diaper bags. Please contact Nashville Municipal Auditorium if you require additional information or guidance at auditoriumevents@nashville.gov or call (615) 862-6390.
BANNERS, SIGNS AND FLAGS
Banners and flags are prohibited from being hung or fastened in the Auditorium. Hand-held signs no larger than 8.5” x 11” are permitted but must meet the following criteria:
- Signs cannot be obscene or profane in nature or content.
- Signs cannot obstruct the view of guests.
- Signs cannot be attached to sticks or poles.
- No items may be affixed to signs.
- NMA has the right to revoke this signage policy without prior notification at the request of individual events.
BOX OFFICE
Nashville Municipal Auditorium Box Office Hours are 10:00AM – 4:30PM Monday – Friday. On event days, the Box Office will be open an hour before doors unless stated otherwise.
CAMERA POLICY
The permitted use of cameras varies by event. Small digital cameras may be permitted for certain events. Cameras with professional lenses, flash attachments, GoPros, camcorders, selfie sticks, iPads or other tablets, drones, tripods, bipods and monopods are prohibited at all times. Use of recording devices and video cameras, both audio and visual, are not permitted within the Auditorium. For a show’s policy please call (615) 862-6390.
CHILDREN TICKETS
Standard venue policy allows children 2 and under in free, unless otherwise stated. All children, who have not reached their second birthday, do not need a ticket, but they must sit on the lap of the ticket holder.
All children 2 years and older require a ticket to enter for seating purposed.
During certain events, child policies may vary. Please view the specific page for the event you are attending for more details. Any variations in policy will be noted on the event's specific page.
DRESS CODE
Proper clothing items must be worn at all times in the Auditorium, which includes shoes. Guests displaying obscene, indecent and/or inappropriate clothing are subject to management discretion and may be prohibited from entering or remaining at the Auditorium.
Face coverings, such as masks or face paint, are not allowed to be worn inside the Auditorium. Guests must be identifiable at all times.
ELEVATORS
The elevator is located by our First Aid Center outside Vom 4 on the first floor.
FIRST AID
The First Aid Center is located outside Vom 4 on the first floor. Additional First Aid Centers may be set in various locations depending upon the event.
INTOXICATED GUESTS
Guests who are visibly intoxicated or display obvious signs of intoxication may not admitted into the Auditorium. If you observe or encounter a visibly intoxicated guest or a guest displaying obvious signs of intoxication at the NMA, please contact a NMA security representative and/or a uniformed officer. Visibly and obviously intoxicated guests are subject to ejection from the event.

LOST & FOUND
Did you lose something during a visit to the Nashville Municipal Auditorium? You can call (615) 862-6390 during or after an event to see if your item has been turned in.
Items found before, during, or after an event should be turned into the Box Office located in the main lobby of the Auditorium. Items turned in will be logged and kept for 14 calendar days. Item(s) may be disposed of at the discretion of Auditorium management if not claimed after such period.
The Auditorium is not responsible for any lost or damaged items.
PARKING
The Auditorium does not have any parking associated with the venue. Paid and unpaid parking options can be found at https://nashvilledowntown.com/get-around/nashville-parking .
PROHIBITED ITEMS
Guests are not permitted to bring the following items to the Auditorium:
- Animals, with the exceptions of service animals
- Backpacks
- Bottles or cans
- Coolers
- Camp/folding chairs
- Drones and any other type of UAV
- Fireworks
- Food and drink purchased outside (including alcohol)
- Frisbees and/or beach balls
- Gifts (for artists, athletes or event participants)
- GoPros or another camcorder
- Grills of any size
- Heaters of any kind, including but not limited to propane and electric
- Hoverboards, bicycles, skateboards, roller skates/shoes, wagons
- Illegal drugs
- Inflatables including balloons & beach balls
- Laptops or tablets (unless by a credentialed member of the media)
- Laser pointers
- Luggage
- Poles or sticks of any kind such as flagpoles, broomsticks, selfie sticks
- Tents, tarps, sleeping bags
- Two-way radios
- Umbrellas
- Noise making devices including, but not limited to: air horns, sirens, whistles, cowbells, megaphones and any other noise/voice amplification device detract from the overall guest experience and interfere with event programming, advertising, and safety announcements. As such, all noise making and amplification devices are prohibited.
- Guests may not carry weapons, firearms, knives, stun guns, pepper spray, mace and/or dangerous devices of any type. No firearms carried by guests are permitted at the Auditorium with the exception of qualified law enforcement officers who are present at the Auditorium in a non-working function and have notified the Auditorium’s Director of Security and Metro Police ahead of the event to be properly verified. Without such verification and approval, such off-duty and qualified law enforcement officers will not be permitted to bring such firearm(s) in the Auditorium.
- Any item deemed to be inappropriate or hazardous by Auditorium security.
Guests found in possession of contraband items will be subject to ejection from the Auditorium and the contraband items may be confiscated.
RE-ENTRY
Re-Entry policies may vary per event, but standard policy is no re-entry unless otherwise stated.
For a no re-entry event, guests who need to exit and re-enter due to service animal needs or personal emergencies, must first make contact with event staff at the main entrance to have their ticket scanned out.
STROLLERS
Stroller use is permitted inside the Nashville Municipal Auditorium but is restricted to concourse areas. Strollers are not permitted within seating areas.
The Nashville Municipal Auditorium is not liable for any lost or stolen items from strollers when left unattended.
SMOKING POLICY
The Auditorium is a smoke-free facility. Varying by event, smoking, (including but not limited to e-cigarettes and vaping devices) may be permitted only on the smoking deck, located on the second-floor patio facing the WeGo Bus Station.
WATER FOUNTAINS
Water fountains are located on both floors of the Auditorium on the wall across from the elevator. On the first floor, it is located outside of Vom 4. On the second floor, it is located outside of Vom C-3.
WILL CALL AT THE BOX OFFICE
Will Call is located at the Box Office just inside the Main Entrance at Nashville Municipal Auditorium. Tickets ordered through Ticketmaster, which are held for will call in your name, may be picked up on the day of the event by presenting your photo ID and credit card used to purchase. We will not release will call tickets to any other party than the purchaser unless they have added an alternate pick-up name on the tickets.
UMBRELLAS
Umbrellas of any size are not permitted inside the Nashville Municipal Auditorium.
