Nashville Municipal Auditorium Internship Job Description 

This internship position at the Nashville Municipal Auditorium is to provide a student with internship credits for an undergraduate or graduate degree. At this time no monetary compensation will be given. 

The Nashville Municipal Auditorium is an event rental venue in Downtown Nashville. We opened our doors in 1962 and have been a staple event space in the city of Nashville ever since. We host many different events such as concerts, banquets, trade shows, and sporting events. 

This position will be working alongside the NMA front office staff in the daily activities of running the event services we offer. You will be able to take part in all aspects of the event world at the NMA. We are flexible on the hours that you can work and would be able to offer day to day office experience along with working the events that we have booked. 

Job Duties 

  • You will be working office hours and will be required to answer the phone lines and be well versed on the information for each upcoming event. 
  • You will be working alongside our box office manager and be required to sell tickets in our box office. We are open daily between 10:30am-4:00pm. You will be able to gain experience in TM1, TM Sales and TM99. 
  • In working with the Event Administrator you will be able to assist in the event process from calendar holds through contract completion. 
  • You will be able to assist in the scheduling of event staffing as well as overseeing their implementation on event night. 
  • You will be able to work each event alongside our Operations Manager to assist with event set up and any event needs during the show. 

Qualifications 

  • You must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program at the time of the internship. 
  • You must have your own transportation and able to get to and from the Nashville Municipal Auditorium on your own. 

Skills 

  • Great communication skills 
  • Organized 
  • Confidentiality – We regularly work with concerts and tours who do not want any information leaking out. Everything must stay on site until otherwise known.
